About this Dog
Meet Peppa — A Shining Light in a Sightless World Fostered in York, PA | 4.5 months old | ~25 lb | Mixed Breed | Blind Peppa may have been born without sight, but that hasn’t dimmed her joy, her love, or her ability to thrive. This beautiful 4.5-month-old, 25 lb mixed breed puppy was found as a stray, blind since birth. Her eyes, which were mostly tissue, have been removed to ensure her long-term health—and now she’s ready to take on the world with her other incredible senses. And what a world it is when you're Peppa! She’s full of life, full of love, and full of snuggles (emphasis on the snuggles, this girl loves to be close to her humans). Peppa is absolutely amazing with other dogs, adores kids (and all people, really), and is learning quickly every single day. Peppa has met some cats and has had no reactions to them so we see no reason she can’t coexist happily with feline friends as well. She plays joyfully with her furry friends and toys, and navigates the world using her super sniffer and sharp hearing. Want to go for a walk? Peppa will happily walk aside her trusty human using her nose and touching your leg as a guide. Car rides? Easy peasy. Peppa likes to catch some zzzz’s in the car. A few beautiful truths about blind dogs like Peppa: - They adapt quickly and rely on routine and scent to navigate with confidence - They’re just as easy to train—sometimes even more so—because they listen so well - They love, bond, and live just like any other dog… and then some Peppa is already doing great with house and crate training. She’s also spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and current on preventatives. But most of all—she’s ready for a family to love her as deeply as she will love them. If you believe love doesn't need to be seen to be felt, Peppa is waiting for you. Apply to adopt: www.pack9rescue.org/applications New Oxford PA 17350; LIC # 9736 We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting, please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $350 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs. Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $400 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate. Adopt Peppa and Receive Peppa's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Peppa's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Peppa's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Peppa, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Peppa's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Peppa was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Peppa’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Peppa’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Peppa’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
