About this Dog
Luna comes to us from Alabama where her owner passed away and the neighbor took her in temporarily, but she needed to find a new home. She came to us with her companion, Vyn, who is also up for adoption. They can go together or individually.Luna is 7 years old and a pittie/hound mix (our best guess). She is medium size weighing in at 42 lbs. She is such a sweet dog and just loves her people and snuggling up with you. Her favorite activities are walking, car rides, and laying in the sun. She is more of a couch potato and a good girl! If you are looking for a low key dog, look no further! Luna enjoys lounging on the couch and does not need to be crated. She is house trained and knows how to behave in a house. Her foster home consists of other dogs and she is totally fine with all of them. As for cats and children, we are not sure as her owner was elderly. She is so sweet and we believe she would be fine with older children, but they would have to be at the meet and greet. Luna is spayed, current on vaccines and flea/tick/heartworm preventative. We did bloodwork and a fecal and all was normal! Her adoption fee is $375.If you are interested in this sweet girl, please submit an application on our website at https://worthytails.rescuegroups.org. For any questions, please send an email to [email protected] you for your interest in an older rescue dog!

Adopt Luna and Receive Luna's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Luna's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Luna's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Luna, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Luna's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Luna was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Luna’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Luna’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Luna’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
