Meet Tulip – A Brave Momma with a Blooming New Beginning Tulip is a gentle, resilient brown tabby momma who has already faced more heartbreak than most. She was doing her best to raise her two kittens on a porch, seeking safety and shelter in a world that offered little of either. Tragically, one of her precious babies was struck by a car — a devastating moment that finally stirred a neighbor to call for help. When rescuers arrived, they found Tulip curled protectively around her surviving kitten Tonka (FCID# 06/18/2025 - 22, at Millsboro PS), scared but still fiercely loving. She didn’t know it yet, but that day was the start of a brand-new chapter: one with no more busy streets, no more cold nights, and no more dodging danger. Now safe and sound, Tulip is slowly learning that people can be kind, that food comes in a bowl, and that laps are a nice place to rest. She’s a tender soul who deserves a calm, patient home where she can continue to blossom. Tulip has done her time as a street survivor. She’s ready to be someone’s cherished family member — to give love and get it in return, far from the roar of passing cars. Estimated to be 1-2 years old.
