About this Dog
I am Beau, a cute, feisty 6-year-old, 10-pound Pomeranian looking for my next great adventure of a forever home. I get along with my foster brothers, but it took a couple of weeks to figure things out. I would do well as an only dog getting everyone’s full attention or with other small furry friends. I am completely housetrained and will even give you a little sign if you forget, think Eddie from “Frasier.” I can be a little mischievous and have been caught moving pillows and blankets around. I haven’t destroyed anything; I just like the attention. I definitely know when it’s dinner time (5:20 on the dot) but generally sleep late in the morning so breakfast time is negotiable. I am leash trained and like to lead the pack. Sometimes I pull or get a little excited on the leash but it’s nothing that a gentle tug back doesn’t take care of. I like my rides in the car, mostly staring at my foster dad. I’m okay with grooming until you get to my nails, might need a muzzle there. I’m also okay with at the vet with a little help (sedative medication). I attached to foster dad immediately and look forward to doing the same with my furever family. I just needs to feel secure and I got that right away with foster dad. I am alternately a cuddler and independent type so the best of both worlds. Are you my future family? For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Beau was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Beau’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Beau’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Beau’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
