Eddie is a 22lb, 14 year old Pomeranian and lab mix who is pretty spry for an old guy. Aside from being a professional napper, he loves a good trot through his foster mom's fenced backyard. Eddie is very quiet and only barks if he is unhappy with a visitor or situation, such as another dog getting into his personal space. For this reason Eddie would thrive in a home as an only dog. He takes some time to warm up, but given space, he will seek out your attention and lean into you for pets and belly rubs. Eddie is food driven and loves his treats after coming inside from going potty. While Eddie walks well on a leash and doesn't pull, a fenced yard is best since he doesn't love all other dogs. Eddie is vision impaired, but can see well enough to navigate furniture and steps. He also has a keen ear for plastic food wrappers. If you have a quiet, relaxed vibe in your home, Eddie would be a perfect companion for you. Eddie's coat is more like a lab and only requires regular brushing, as opposed to regular grooming like poms. He has had a recent dental, with only 6 remaining teeth, but he does well with eating small kibble. This senior boy is just looking for a comfy spot to reside for the rest of his days. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Eddie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Eddie’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Eddie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Eddie’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
