Garnet and his sister Jade emerged from a distressing hoarding situation, where they were two of a hundred cats living under one roof, all without being spayed or neutered. At approximately 1-1/2 years old, they now find solace in the comforts of their foster home, relishing the freedom to roam, lay their head down for a peaceful nap, bask in the warm embrace of the sun, and receive the attention and affection they crave. Garnet adores other kitties and will follow them around like a doting companion. He is playful and enjoys cozy naps and a great view from his cat tree. Each day, Garnet becomes more outgoing, revealing his endearing and tender nature. Garnet can be adopted on his own (into a home with other kitties) or adopted with his sister, Jade! Garnet has been neutered, vaccinated, combo-tested negative for FIV/FeLV, and microchipped. He yearns to be the center of someone's world, basking in the love and adoration he so rightfully deserves. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Garnet was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Garnet’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Garnet’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Garnet’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
