Birthday: August 6, 2024 A refined young lady, such as Hyssop, doesn't need her good looks to tell you how great she is! Her sophistication, intelligence, and even sense of humor puts her miles ahead most other kitties! She appeared at her future foster's backyard just before the summer weather hit the area. She was initially fussy towards them, but she realized that she was just overreacting. After spending time in quarantine, she learned that they were just as friendly and smart as she was! Now she's hoping to meet more people to have these intellectual conversations. Hyssop is what we would call an inquisitive girl. She loves to watch the wildlife that gather around the feeder outside through her window, wondering what is going on in their little heads. She's an active, playful kitty who loves toys of all kinds! She prefers ribbon wands, feathered toys, and laser pointers. However, she recently developed a lover of twine balls with bells in them! She just HAS to grab them in her mouth and bring them to her foster parent. It's the greatest discovery since fire in her eyes! Her foster believes she has the capability to learn how to play fetch if given the time. When she isn't showing off for her humans, Hyssop will take some time to decompress. She's a snuggler by the very definition of the word, especially when it's closer to night-night time. She will lay directly on your chest if you allow her, but she can settle for your lap or sides. Her little purrs gently fill the air as you pet her head or scratch under her chin. She's normally a quiet girl. Well, that is until you pick her up or it's close to mealtime. In which case, she will grace you with a very dainty meow! Hyssop's adoption donation is $135 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and spay. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Hyssop was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Hyssop’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Hyssop’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Hyssop’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
