Meet Terk, aka Turkey! Terk was surrendered to Castaway with his Mother, sister and 4 nieces! Terk is a quiet boy, but the most loving companion you will ever meet! He enjoys head rubs, belly rubs and just snuggling with you in general. Terk had to go under a major abdominal surgery while he has been at the rescue. His intestines were wrapped around themselves like a barber pole, resulting in severe dehydration and malnutrition. He is officially on the mend after weeks of medications, TLC and follow up appointments. Terk is going to make a wonderful companion with someone. He is dog friendly, cat friendly and kid friendly, as long as they are cat friendly kids! He spends most of his days snuggling his foster Mom and furry foster siblings. He is a very relaxed 1 year old! Terk is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and has tested negative for FIV/FELV. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Terk was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Terk’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Terk’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Terk’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
