About this Cat
HEARTFELT HOPPY Meet Hoppy, estimated date of birth 11/1/2024. Hoppy is a truly extraordinary little soul with a voice as big as her heart and a spirit that knows no bounds. With a personality that lights up any room, Hoppy is a chatty, affectionate girl who loves nothing more than to follow her people around, guiding them with her sweet meows to where she’d like a cuddle, a snack, or a game of chase with her favorite toys. Hoppy’s journey is nothing short of remarkable. On a cold winter day, she climbed into a car engine seeking warmth, and unknowingly, the car drove off with her still inside. She was tragically thrown from the vehicle and rushed to emergency care. Though one of her front legs was paralyzed in the accident, her fighting spirit never wavered. Thankfully, she did not need an amputation, and despite the paralysis, she lives life to the fullest—fearless, joyful, and full of love. Her front leg, while non-functional, is alive and pain-free. Hoppy uses it with remarkable adaptability—balancing in the litter box, propping herself for stability, and expressing herself with sass and confidence. Because she can’t scratch on traditional vertical posts, flat floor scratchers are her favorite, and she’ll happily stretch out and dig in with gusto. Hoppy is endlessly affectionate, loyal, and talkative. She loves being the center of attention and thrives in the company of people—new faces included. She’s food-motivated, loves to play with feather wands, pom-pom balls, and springs, and despite her physical challenges, she runs, leaps, and pounces with all the excitement of any healthy young cat. Her condition doesn’t slow her down—it simply adds to her charm and uniqueness. She’s a clean and tidy kitty who sheds very little and prefers cozy carpeted areas but manages perfectly well on any flooring. While she can climb stairs without issue, she tends to stay close to her food, water, and favorite lounging spots. Hoppy uses her voice and body language to communicate her boundaries—especially with other cats. She does well with adult cats who respect her space but isn’t a fan of rambunctious kittens. She’s indifferent to calm dogs and would thrive in a quiet home without small children. What Hoppy truly longs for is a loving, understanding family who sees her not as a cat with limitations, but as a bright, beautiful girl full of love, resilience, and personality. She’s a cuddler, a companion, a talker, and a survivor—and she’s ready to give her whole heart to the right home.
