About this Dog
Hey there, humans! I’m Sam. Yep — Sam I am! Do I like green eggs and ham? Hmm… listen, I’m a dog, so I’d probably try them… but let’s be honest, green eggs sound like a bad life choice. Let’s stick to bacon. So, let me tell you my story: My sister Sissy and I ended up in a place called a shelter. FYI — it’s nothing like a hotel. No snacks on your pillow. No pool. No “welcome” biscuits. Just cold floors, loud noises, and a lot of worried faces. Total doggie jail. The shelter lady was super sweet, but she was drowning in dogs — feeding, cleaning, comforting, over and over. She tried, but she was just one human with a giant mountain of need. Then one day, I heard her say this terrifying word: “euthanized.” I didn’t know what it meant, but I felt it — the sadness, the heavy air. I knew it wasn’t good. BUT WAIT! Cue the superhero music! Enter Erin — angel, superhero, lifesaver, snack provider (okay, maybe I’m adding that last part). She called 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue, and BOOM — just like that, 22 of us were saved! Next stop? Northbound! Road trip, baby! We’re heading to our foster mom Denise’s house, a magical land of soft beds, treats, and — let’s be honest — probably a few house rules we’ll “accidentally” ignore. We’ll show up spayed, neutered, vaccinated, and ready to steal hearts (and maybe a sandwich or two if you leave it unattended). We’re just looking for forever families to love us. Before I sign off, I have one tiny favor to ask: Please, please stop making more puppies. We’re already here, waiting, hoping, wishing for homes. Too many of us never get that 2nd chance. Okay, I’m off to pack my squeaky toy! See you soon, North humans! P.S. I promise to be on my best behavior. P.P.S. Unless there’s a squirrel. ️ Then, all bets are off. With love (and a waggy tail), Sam (and Sissy too!)

100% of Sammy's balance will be sent to whoever adopts Sammy.
Adopt Sammy and Receive Sammy's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Sammy's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Sammy's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Sammy, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Sammy's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Sammy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Sammy’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Sammy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Sammy’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
