About this Dog
Hey there, I’m one of the lucky beagles — and wow, do I have a story! ✨ I’ve spent over half my life being beaten and mistreated. My owner ran a cockfighting ring (yeah, real classy guy ), and when he finally got caught, all five of my beagle buddies and I were scooped up and taken off the property. We were terrified. But honestly? At that point, I figured things couldn’t get much worse. …well, turns out, they almost did. We were scheduled to be euthanized — and no, that’s not like a fancy award or a “good dog” certificate. It’s the bad kind. The “game over” kind. But then… BOOM! Hero moment! ♀️♂️ 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue swooped in and saved five of us! Another rescue had already claimed one, so the six of us were split up with care. A super cool couple agreed to take the three of us who were the most scared (hey, no shame — some of us are just delicate, okay?). The two braver beagles went off to the ranch, where they can run, play, and show off their confidence. As for me? I’m about to learn what it’s like to be loved — like, actually loved. Soft beds, belly rubs, snacks that I don’t have to steal, and humans who don’t yell or hit. Am I ready for a better life? HECK. YES. Bring on the treats, the naps, and the “who’s a good girl?” speeches. Spoiler: It’s me. I’m a good girl.

100% of Lucy's balance will be sent to whoever adopts Lucy.
Adopt Lucy and Receive Lucy's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Lucy's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Lucy's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Lucy, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Lucy's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Lucy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Lucy’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Lucy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Lucy’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
