About this Dog
Hazel is a beautiful and sweet 14 week old, 25 lb terrier. She is a super fun, cuddly girl who is loves not only her people but the company of other animals. She is a fast learner and already knows sit, down, paw, touch and speak. She listens very well and is eager to please. During the day she spends a lot of time romping around the backyard with her canine foster brother and sisters. She occasionally takes a dip in the pool or splashes through her splash pad to keep cool. She is very respectful of the dogs in the house and will only play if they want to play with her. She also spends her time in the company of a cat and she does like to play with him. Because she is a puppy I would suggest she can go to a home that the cat is dog tolerant and will teach her the rules of fair play. She is crate trained and pretty much housebroken as long as she is kept to a schedule and let out every few hours. She does great in the crate and sleeps in it whenever we are not home and overnight. She would do best in a home with another dog as she does love her doggy companions. Hazel is such a sweet girl and would make any family a great companion but because she is a puppy and still going through her puppy stages of teething that kids above toddler age would be best. Please email us at [email protected] for more info or an application. (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.) NOTE: Most puppies do best in the company of an older dog who can teach them "doggy manners," so homes with at least one other dog usually will be given preference in puppy adoptions. Please read Suzanne Clothier's wonderful article, "It Takes a Pack to Raise a Puppy!" PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTACTING US! We are NOT a shelter: All of our dogs live in private homes with foster families. Come and meet the Almost Home dogs and their fosters at our Meet & Greet events, where you can learn more about our wonderful dogs from the people who live with them, find out which dogs are on their way and when they’ll arrive, and fill out an application to adopt or foster. We cannot adopt to homes where electric-shock fencing systems or training collars are used. For more information on the dangers of electric-shock collars, please visit banshockcollars.ca/studies.php . We do not have an online adoption application; to request an application, e-mail us [email protected]. To speed e-mail processing time, be sure to note the name of the dog you are inquiring about in the Subject line. 100% of Hazel's balance will be sent to whoever adopts Hazel.
Adopt Hazel and Receive Hazel's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Hazel's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Hazel's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Hazel, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Hazel's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Hazel was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Hazel’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Hazel’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Hazel’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
