About this Dog
Available for adoption! Brewster is a sweet and adorable young lady ready to find her forever family. She is around 1.5-2 years old and weighs just over 40 lbs (but can stand to lose a few lbs). She was found as a stray and then spent several months in the shelter. We can tell she was a mama before and still carries the worried look from having a hard life so far. We don’t think Brewster had ever lived in a home prior to getting to her foster house. In just one short week she has figured out home life and has been a great guest. She hasn’t had any accidents and is quiet and good in her crate. She also has been good at sharing with the other dogs around. Brewster has that sweet soul that just melts your heart. Her eyes and facial expressions say it all. She loves getting attention from people. She also enjoys the company of others dog. She is a great doggy playmate and cuddle buddy to her foster home’s many resident pups. We think she would be happiest with a dog(s) friend in her forever home. Brewster walks pretty well on a leash but isn’t sure about initially leaving her safe place (currently her foster home). Once she is out and going she is a good girl who we think will quickly feel comfortable out and about with more experience. Many things will be new, and potentially scary (like the vacuum), to this sweet pup so a patient and loving family who will help show her the way is what she needs. If you are interested in adopting Brewster please email us at [email protected] (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.) PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTACTING US! We are NOT a shelter: All of our dogs live in private homes with foster families. Come and meet the Almost Home dogs and their fosters at our Meet & Greet events, where you can learn more about our wonderful dogs from the people who live with them, find out which dogs are on their way and when they’ll arrive, and fill out an application to adopt or foster. We cannot adopt to homes where electric-shock fencing systems or training collars are used. For more information on the dangers of electric-shock collars, please visit banshockcollars.ca/studies.php . We do not have an online adoption application; to request an application, e-mail us at [email protected]. To speed e-mail processing time, be sure to note the name of the dog you are inquiring about in the Subject line. For Meet & Greet times and locations, visit our home page, where you also will find information on our adoption process and fees. FOSTER FAMILIES ARE LIFESAVERS!! Can you open your heart and home for a few weeks to homeless shelter dog? Remember, by fostering a dog, you save TWO lives — that of your foster dog, and that of the dog who takes his place in the shelter! Come to a Meet & Greet and find out if fostering is for you — there's no reward quite like the feeling that you've saved a life ... or two!

Adopt Brewster and Receive Brewster's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Brewster's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Brewster's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Brewster, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Brewster's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Brewster was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Brewster’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Brewster’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Brewster’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
