If you want personality and energy then Misty is your girl! She always has a pep in her step and is super curious. She has an agenda when out in the yard which includes playing keep away and running as fast as she can. She enjoys playing tug of war, EATING, barking when you take her picture and finding the right spot to curl up in your lap when she’s had enough playing. She is currently in a foster home with children, ages 7 & 5 and very much enjoys the attention. However, a watchful eye on toys is needed, as with any puppy. She is currently living with her littermate Ben and gets along well with her 9yr old foster brother (terrier mix). She is still learning manners but is a quick learner. Although still very young she is working on potty training and getting use to wearing a collar and leash walking. Crate training is in it’s early stages and she is in the process of receiving age appropriate vaccines. Misty is an absolute sweetheart and looking for a family who is active and will be consistent with training as she grows! For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Misty was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Misty’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Misty’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Misty’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
