About this Dog
Maya is available for adoption. She is 9 years old and weighs 10 lbs. Her adoption fee is $400.00.This adorable little lady is Maya! She is 10 years old and weights about 7.5 pounds. She is a calm, quiet and gentle soul who loves being outside and going for walks. She is friendly with everyone we have met and gets along with our dogs nicely. She doesn’t play much, however she will join in a game of chase at times, though she can be content just watching the action too. Another of her favorite activities is snuggling in soft blankets. She can often be found curled up on a blanket or a big pillow. She also likes lounging in a sunny spot. Maya is free in our home with only an occasional ‘accident’, but has learned the proper place for doing business is outside. We take her out several times a day. At night Maya prefers to sleep is in her bed, on an ottoman beside our bed. Once she settles in she usually sleeps until morning, making little snores that are as adorable as she is! Commands are a work in progress. She has the basics down- stop, come and quiet. Sometimes she does well and others she just looks at us like we are being ridiculous! Maya has recently been diagnosed with PLE or protein loosing enteropathy, which is being managed with a special low fat food. Maya is a very friendly, curious, and silly little girl, and will be a joy to her forever family! Maya is staying with Tammy in Bloomsburg, PA.

Adopt A Maya and Receive A Maya's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, A Maya's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is A Maya's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the A Maya, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming A Maya's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and A Maya was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, A Maya’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the A Maya’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, A Maya’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
