Dog adoption in Portland, OR, 97209 Unknown Dog "Orbit"

First and foremost, this little guy is the sweetest, most affectionate dog I have ever had the pleasure of knowing, and just wants to love and be loved. He loves all people, young and old. Loves to go on walks, loves to be held, and is the best cuddler ever. He'd spend all day and night in bed in your arms. Now for the bad: He is super aggressive to all other dogs bigger than him. Has complete separation anxiety. The way he came to me is someone I barely knew asked me to watch him while he ran to the store, because it would be "faster", and then never came back. I waited for 24 hours in this person's camp, panicked and unsure how to proceed. I have searched extensively for him, and have since learned that he is addicted to fentanyl, and chose to leave the dog behind saying he'd be fine. I also have been informed that the person who left him originally found Orbit only two months earlier, tied to a fence outside of a church and just left there. That makes me ill to think about. My heart broke for him, and I refused be somebody else that abandoned him. Cant do it. Wont do it. So, for the past month have done everything I can to ensure that Orbit is fed, is safe, is happy, and knows that he is loved. I used to sublet a studio, but Because I refused to leave him at a shelter, I had to vacate the apartment, and we've been on the street for the last three weeks. Its not fair, but after the rain last night, I just cannot do it anymore. I've done all that I can, but Im at the end of my rope. I have no money, cannot go to a shelter with him, but most importantly, can't put him through another night being freezing and drenched. Im in love with him, will probably sob when leaving him, but his health and safety is the most important thing and I can no longer provide that. Please, somebody help. He eats good kibble, loves soft treats, has totally healthy poop and poop habits, and is also totally house-trained.
