About this Cat
Gracie is an indoor/outdoor litter trained 8 year old female. She likes dogs and other cats and does well in a multi-pet household. She's currently higher up on the totem pole, but won't be aggressive to other pets. She's a hanging out with you kind of cat, not a cuddle bug. Doesn't like wet food but loves her greenies treats like there's no tomorrow. She loves puzzle toys, like treat toys and slow feeder toys. I almost named her Sophie due to how much she likes to hang out on the back of my sofa. Loves attention and will seek you out for it. She's a meower when letting you know she wants attention, but has the patience to wait for it and won't bug you too much if you can't give her attention right then. She doesn't harass me at night and I will wake up to her laying right next to my pillow. She has soft silky fur that doesn't irritate my allergies much. Gracie has sensitive stomach (pukes up food not compatible), only nature's bounty or Costco Kirkland salmon food. I just got her used to the Kirkland stuff. Sometimes if it's really hot you'll need to directly bring her in because she likes the outside a lot in the summer. We have to sell the house due to financial issues of one of the people on the deed, and I'm moving into an apartment that will only let me have one cat. I recently adopted her from my mom when she moved out, and I like her but, I can't take both her and my long time special needs cat too. This cat is offered for adoption due to the owner's personal circumstances. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and GRACIE - Offered by Owner was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, GRACIE - Offered by Owner’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the GRACIE - Offered by Owner’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, GRACIE - Offered by Owner’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
