My name is Shemp and my brothers (Moe & Curly) and I were named for the 3 Stooges. My foster mom says it's not because we are goofy but just because we such a fun group. We were rescued from a home in Shadowlake where the owner was moving and PAWS-OK came by to rescue our mom who was having ANOTHER litter. When the nice lady from PAWS-OK saw us, she knew we would likely become unfixed neighborhood toms so she said she would take us too. She also could tell we were way too friendly to be safe as neighborhood cats. I love to pay with my brothers and would like an active family with other cats/dogs/kids to play with. PAWS-OK is a small foster based non profit rescue operating in the OKC area since 2008. All our cats and kittens are spayed or neutered, tested for feline leukemia and FIV, up-to-date on their vaccines, litterbox trained and fostered in a volunteers home. We are committed to placing our rescues in the most loving homes that we can, regardless of how long it takes. Our kittens are kept with their mothers for as long as possible and not offered for adoption until they are at least 16 weeks of age. A handful of our available felines can be seen in the PetSmart Adoption Center in Rockwell Plaza (8357 N Rockwell) during normal store hours. Your Request will be processed by a PAWS Volunteer who may reach out to you via email to clarify your information if needed. Processing normally takes 2-3 business days. If your request is approved, an Adoption Counselor will contact you to set up a phone interview or a time to meet with them at our Adoption Center. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Shemp was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Shemp’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Shemp’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Shemp’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
