About this Dog
Breed: Terrier Mix / Adoption fee is $150 / Sex: Female / Age: Approximately 10m-1yr old / Weight: Approximately 45 pounds Paris is a sweet girl who had a rough start with the human race early in her life. Yet she is sweet and curious like a puppy, eager to explore the new world she has been introduced to. Paris is a bit hand-shy with new people but warms up quickly when offered food. She has been good with the cats in her foster home, even in the presence of food. She has been around dogs of various sizes. House Manners: In her current foster home, she is crated unsupervised and has access to the "dog zone" of the house, along with a doggie door at other times. So far, she has not pottied indoors while having access to the doggie door. Basic Training: She is new to all her training and will need it continued. She was not leash-trained or familiar with any commands when she came into rescue in January 2024. At that time, she was hand-shy, frightened of humans, and exhibited signs of physical abuse. Other Dogs: Paris has been good with other dogs of various sizes. However, I recommend a male dog of similar size or one that can handle rowdy play. I do not recommend placing her with female canine housemates due to her breed mix. Cats: Paris has been around indoor cats that are accustomed to dogs, and she has had no issues with them, even when food or toys are present. She would likely chase a running cat outdoors and might give playful chase if a cat ran indoors. That behavior should be discouraged, and she understands verbal commands to disengage from distractions. Kids: While in rescue, she has spent a couple of days with a few preteen boys and has done well. She is curious and eager to engage, but a little hand-shy, as she is with new experiences. Fencing: Paris needs a 6ft fence and shouldn’t be left outside alone, as she prefers being indoors. She does well with a doggie door at her foster home. The adoption fee is $150. This dog has received age-appropriate vaccinations, including a rabies shot (for dogs four months and older), has been heartworm tested (for dogs four months and older) and/or put on prevention, has been given basic dewormer, is spayed or neutered, and is microchipped. Important: PLEASE read if interested in adoption: We have a relatively open adoption policy. Apartments, unfenced yards, and young kids are acceptable, but only if the pet you are interested in is a good fit for that situation! Some dogs may require a specific type and height of fence due to safety, breed, or known history. We are looking for pet parents who will provide routine vet care, including vaccines and heartworm prevention for their dogs. Please understand that we verify vet references and landowners/landlord policies. We cannot process applications with incomplete or incorrect information. We ask that you take your newly adopted dog for a vet exam within the first 30 days to establish care with your vet, obtain heartworm prevention prescriptions, and administer a fecal exam, as some pets may need additional deworming after leaving our care. Please submit a Pre-Adoption Questionnaire by clicking the hyperlink if visible, or visit our homepage to find the application link to show your interest in adoption. Only one application should be submitted for any of our dogs; your application will be on file for at least one year. This questionnaire helps us determine if the dog you are interested in might match your family's dynamics based on what we have learned about the dog. All pets at True Friends Animal Rescue are featured on our homepage and can be accessed from our web listings. Take a look, as there may be more than one dog in our rescue that you like. If you do not find the information you need through our websites, please submit an email.

Adopt Paris and Receive Paris's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Paris's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Paris's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Paris, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Paris's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Paris was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Paris’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Paris’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Paris’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
