About this Dog
I'm trying to rehome a dog that belongs to a family member. They are no longer able to keep him due to their own health issues. Sadly, this dog lives in a bedroom in solitary confinement. If the weather is decent, he goes on the front porch. He has no human interaction except when he's taken outside to relieve himself.
Knute is a 10 yr old neutered male, Shepherd/Terrier mix, 42 lbs. UTD on rabies and vaccinations. Had a recent dental cleaning and his teeth are in good shape. He's a very smart, loyal dog. He went to obedience classes when he was 3 yrs old and aced the course. He LOVES car rides and walks! A home without children would be best because he gets a little excited when youngsters start to jump around and play. He did tear his ACL last fall but he gets around fine and puts weigth on that leg now.

How will Knute receive the contribution?

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Knute was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Knute’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
What happens to unclaimed funds?
We want the Knute’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Knute’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
