About this Dog
Lucy is three years old. She is physically healthy and robust, she is spayed, and her shots (rabies, etc.) are all up-to-date. My dad discovered Lucy roaming the streets when she was about six months old, and she has lived with my parents ever since. She loves nearly all the people she's met; she's only ever growled at one person. She loves to be pet, to be kissed, etc. and thrives on human company.
The problem is, she has developed an aggression toward other dogs. She has attacked my parents' other dogs, including one in particular who used to be her best friend. We don't understand the change in her personality; however, we don't want to euthanize her because of her continuing affection towards humans. My parents are hoping for a new owner who 1) is experienced with pit bulls and similar breeds, 2) who has NO other pets, and 3) who does not have any children in the family. We have never seen Lucy act aggressively toward a child, but that's only because she's never seen one (as far as we know, anyway). So it's best not to take that risk.
Again, because of the potential danger to other pets, Lucy needs a home with a person who has NO other pets (especially no cats and no smaller dogs)!

How will Lucy receive the contribution?
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Lucy, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Lucy's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Lucy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Lucy’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
What happens to unclaimed funds?
We want the Lucy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Lucy’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
