About this Cat
Jacob is a 9 month old tuxedo kitten that was found with his momma and litter mates at a very young age. He was the oddball from the start as the only black and white kitten, while his brothers were all orange. As Jacob grew, his fosters noticed another unique quirk - his snorty and wheezing breathing. Jacob often becomes short of breath when he runs around or purrs extra hard. This sure doesn’t stop him! He may be wheezy, but he certainly has lots of kitten energy and he is full of zoomies and playful behavior. Jacob was seen several times by a few vets to diagnose his condition and discuss treatment. He has suspected laryngeal paralysis in one of his vocal chord flaps. Our vets do not believe his condition warrants removal of the vocal chord and have not recommended any ongoing care or maintenance. He will always be snorty, but that's part of his charm! Jacob has been socialized with other cats and should adjust well to dogs as he is very welcoming to everyone. He loves having furry companions to play and groom with and is a very sweet boy. He would love to have a feline friend in his new home! Jacob will be the purrfect companion for anyone. He is being fostered in Kent, OH. Jacob's adoption fee of $100 i ncludes negative test for Feline Leukemia (FELV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), neuter surgery, age-appropriate vaccines (feline leukemia, FVRCP, Rabies), de-worming, topical flea protection, and a microchip. Adopt Jacob and Receive Jacob's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Jacob's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Jacob's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Jacob, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Jacob's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Jacob was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Jacob’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Jacob’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Jacob’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
