About this Cat
Hello, I’m Mel! My foster mom likes to call me "MELt my heart" and I think she’s right. My story began in the woods, where I was found all alone, hungry and afraid. Thankfully, Roses Rescue volunteers scooped me up and brought me to safety. Now I’m in a foster home, learning what it means to feel loved. At first, I was shy and preferred to watch the other foster kittens play from my hiding spot. But with patience, lots of yummy pate, and gentle care, I’m really starting to blossom. I’ve learned that being petted and cuddled feels pretty wonderful, and that I can purr! These days, I even meow for my foster mom when I want treats or attention. She melts every time I snuggle in and she scratches my little ear tufts. I’m also getting braver. I can’t resist joining the other kittens as they chase toys through the tunnel. I love watching them play and that has helped me discover how much fun it is to join in too. I may start out a little reserved, but once I feel safe, I’ll show you my sweet and playful side. If you’re ready to open your heart to a gentle guy who’s learning how wonderful love can be, I’m ready to MELt into your arms forever! Mel's adoption fee of $100 includes negative test for Feline Leukemia (FELV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), neuter surgery, feline leukemia, FVRCP, and Rabies vaccines, de-worming, topical flea protection, and a microchip. Mel is about 4 months old and being fostered in Stow, OH. For those viewing on Petfinder, please apply by clicking on More About Rose's Rescue - you may fill out adoption application from there. Adopt Mel and Receive Mel's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Mel's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Mel's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Mel, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Mel's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Mel was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Mel’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Mel’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Mel’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
