Hi! I'm Whirl, a bright, energetic kitten with big chocolate-colored paw pads that look just like mittens! My foster mom calls me Whirl Gig because I’m always in motion, playing and purring as loud as I can. When I first arrived at my foster home, I was shy of people, but not anymore! Now I’m curious about everything my foster mom does and try to copy her. I’ve discovered the joy of toys (spoiler: I love all of them), whether it’s chasing, pouncing, or hopping after something that moves. My favorite is a track with a ball inside and a light-up ball that zooms across the floor. The other kittens in my foster home purr too, but I’m pretty sure they learned it from me—I purr the loudest! In fact, you’ll hear me rumbling away whenever I’m happy, which is pretty much all the time. One time, I snuck out of the kitten room and found the big 6-foot cat tree the resident cats have… WOW! That was the best discovery ever. I climbed and leapt from level to level like a pro. I really hope my forever home has one—it’s even better than TV! I’m also learning something pretty cool called harness training! My foster mom puts my harness on while I play, and I purr the whole time. One day, I hope to go on adventures and walks with my family. If you have an energetic, playful personality like me—and maybe a tall cat tree—you might be the perfect match I'm looking for. Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Whirl's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Whirl was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Whirl’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Whirl’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Whirl’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
