Hi there! I’m Cornelia - but my friends call me Corndog. I’m an apx 3-5 year old, 25 lb lab beagle mix, with a heart full of love. If you’re looking for a mellow, people-loving girl to be your shadow and snuggle buddy, I might just be your perfect match. I’m super friendly and love meeting new people — big or small! I’m great with kids and get along well with other dogs too. I’m still figuring out how to “play” like the other pups do, but I enjoy their company and am learning every day. I’ve got my potty training down, and while I’m not a fan of crates, I’m a chill and well-behaved girl overall. My foster mom puts me a room with a gate and I am perfectly content with no issues. I do get a little nervous when left alone, so I’d be happiest in a home where someone is around most of the time to keep me company. If you do have to leave me alone to go to work, I won’t cause any trouble, but I will be waiting at the door when you come home. A fenced-in yard would be a dream, but it’s not a deal-breaker if you’re committed to some quality leash time. I haven’t met any cats yet, so I’m not sure what I think of them — but I’m always up for learning new things with the right support. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Cornelia was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Cornelia’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Cornelia’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Cornelia’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
