Meet Niko! Niko and his siblings were born at their foster home after their mama Moira was found living outdoors as a stray. She had been dumped at a local state park and was close to delivering her babies. Niko is a sweet, active kitten who loves to wrestle and play. He spends most of the day romping around with his siblings but loves to cuddle up for attention when he is tired out. Nico hasn't met dogs yet but should adjust easily to them. He does well with children and other cats. He is being fostered in Cuyahoga Falls, OH. Niko was born on May 5th. Kittens do best in homes with other cats! The ideal home for Niko will already have a cat in the home or be interested in adopting him with one of his littermates. The adoption fee for a single kitten is $100 and a pair of kittens is $150. The adoption fee includes: negative test for Feline Leukemia (FELV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), neuter surgery, age-appropriate vaccines (feline leukemia, FVRCP), de-worming, topical flea protection and a microchip. Depending on Niko's age at adoption, feline leukemia and FVRCP vaccine boosters may need to be continued with his adopters' vet, and he will need his rabies shot when he is 14-16 weeks old. Niko will be 8 weeks old on June 30th. He is schedul ed for neuter on July 7th and will be ready to go home with his new family the weekend of July 11th. Applicants are welcome to meet Niko in his foster home now. We will collect a $50 deposit (deducted from his total fee) to hold him until adoption day. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Niko was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Niko’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Niko’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Niko’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
