About this Cat
GOLDIE'S STORY -- Why I Need a New Home
Pam found me (actually I found her). She took me to the Vet to be spayed, vaccinated and chipped so I could be re-homed. Pam can't keep me because she has 4 15-year-old cats and...well, I'm young, very sweet, and too much for those old ladies. Pam calls me Goldie due to my beautiful golden eyes. I was a stray who came every day for petting and food since late last summer. Pam wanted (and still does) to bring me inside and into her into family because I am such a LOVING & SWEET CAT! She finds it hard to believe I was feral. HOWEVER, Pam has a mommy cat and her 4 kittens who are now 15-year-old house cats. Pam cannot expose her "old ladies" to the anxiety of a stranger in the house. (Plus she is now 75 years old.)
The Vet discovered swollen mammary glands due to my heat cycle with FiV. Vet said this swelling might continue if I were to get pregnant or go into heat. FiV can only be transmitted through sexual activity or biting, and ONLY TO OTHER CATS! Spaying & living indoors prevent these possibilities, so recently Pam took me to Ft. Wayne and had me spayed, vaccinated & chipped. (It was a bit scary, but I feel much better now.)
Pam’s Story
Best case scenario for this precious girl is to be loved as an ONLY and INSIDE cat. Being outside again can be dangerous for her and other cats. She's hasn't minded it inside my spare room for weeks now, and she’s had no trouble adjusting to being an inside kitty. I'll foster her and continue to love her until you discover her sweetness as your own. I promise you won't regret it.

Adopt Goldie and Receive Goldie's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Goldie's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

How will Goldie receive the contribution?
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Goldie, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Goldie's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Goldie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Goldie’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
What happens to unclaimed funds?
We want the Goldie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Goldie’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
