About this Dog
Sally was pulled from a local shelter where she faced euthanasia. She’s completely blind and was absolutely terrified and struggling in the noisy, high stress environment. Thankfully we had an amazing volunteer step up to foster, which quite literally saved her life! We’ll never know what caused Sally’s blindness or how long she’s been affected, but we do know her right eye had significant pressure build up causing constant pain, so surgical removal was the best option for her. She handled the surgery well, and is cuter than ever now with her big ears, short legs, and permanent wink! Since being in foster care, we’ve discovered that Sally is a sassy little girl with a whole lot of love to give! She may be blind but that won’t stop her from living an amazing life. She learns the layout of the land quickly! She's done well picking up house and crate training, and has adjusted to sleeping in her crate at night. (Tho she sure wouldn’t mind if you shared the bed!)She's met with our trainer a few times, and has been working on confidence building and basic commands like Sit, Down, Wait, and “touch” so as to not startle her when you need to touch her paws or legs. She’s a food motivated smarty pants who picks things up quickly, so training has been fun and rewarding with her! Her new family should be prepared to continue to work with her to help her be the best girlie she can be. She’s an excellent snuggler and loves to lay in your lap and accept all the pets you are willing to give!Sally’s approx 2-3yrs old, a low riding 34lbs, and is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and current on monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $450, which will include one in home session with our trainer to set everyone up for success! Loud sounds do startle Sally, so she’d do best with an experienced dog owner in a quieter home without young kids. Note that quiet does NOT necessarily mean low energy. This girl thrives on a routine and loves walks and playtime! Tho she’s quite happy being a cuddly couch potato all day too! She’s pretty happy to match your speed and energy! Sally does struggle to communicate appropriately with other dogs due to her blindness, so a home where she can your one and only would be best. Cats are unknown, but based off her excitable and playful personality, we do feel like she would be overly interested and grab at or chase them. Because she is totally blind, a fenced in yard is strongly preferred. Please click here to submit an adoption application! If you'd like any additional information, email us at [email protected].

Adopt Sally and Receive Sally's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Sally's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Sally's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Sally, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Sally's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Sally was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Sally’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Sally’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Sally’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
