About this Cat
DOB:11/21/2021 Meet Pecan Pie, the ultimate couch potato! At 3 years old, this laid-back lovebug is ready to settle in next to his favorite human (that could be YOU!). His foster mom describes him simply as “the best”—sweet, snuggly, and always up for a good chill session. What is FeLV? FeLV is a condition that affects a cat’s immune system. While some FeLV+ cats, like Pecan Pie, are in great health, every cat reacts differently. Because of this, FeLV positive cats cannot live with FeLV negative cats, as passing on the virus could put them at serious risk. Instead, FeLV+ cats should either be the only cat in the home or live with other FeLV+ kitties. To learn more about this condition visit: https://resources.bestfriends.org/article/feline-leukemia-felv-faqs If you’re looking for a low-maintenance, extra-lovable, lap-warming best friend, Pecan Pie is your guy! He’ll be your loyal companion through every movie marathon, book binge, and lazy Sunday. Could you be the one to give Pecan Pie the forever home he deserves? **This cat is currently in foster care. To meet or adopt, please fill out an online adoption application at https://colonycats.org/adoption_app.html. Due to the large number of inquiries received, we are unable to respond to emails quickly.**

Adopt Pecan Pie and Receive Pecan Pie's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Pecan Pie's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Pecan Pie's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Pecan Pie, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Pecan Pie's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Pecan Pie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Pecan Pie’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Pecan Pie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Pecan Pie’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
