About this Dog
FENCED YARD NEEDED Sadie is a pretty 6-year-old collie who has quickly adjusted to life at her foster home. Inside, she’s calm and mellow, though her favorite pastime is gazing out the windows, where she may get a bit excited by the sights she sees. She enjoys being close to her humans but is also happy to observe from a distance. She is learning commands and understands “no” but still needs a treat to reliably come when called. She will thrive in a home with a fenced-in yard. While she’s only been with her foster family for a short time, we’re already seeing great progress. Sadie had an unfortunate run-in with a car as a youngster, but other than being a bit slower to get up, you wouldn’t notice. She walks politely on a leash and enjoys walks, but she would not be a good candidate for long walks or runs. She's a happy girl, wags her tail often and tells her humans she needs to go out by coming up to them and barking. She barks with interest as she approaches other dogs in the neighborhood, but Sadie has not had the opportunity to be off leash with them. The cat in the household quickly left the area when it saw Sadie, and Sadie did not chase it. She is a good “watch” collie, barking at the door when someone knocks but greets people well. She has not shown any fear of household or weather noises. She is a bit vocal, but her barking does have a purpose--to alert the foster to something she thinks is worth checking out. Sadie is sweet and well-behaved, does well in the car and is trustworthy in the house without a crate. She is just waiting for her forever home.

100% of Sadie's balance will be sent to whoever adopts Sadie.
Adopt Sadie and Receive Sadie's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Sadie's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Sadie's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Sadie, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Sadie's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Sadie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Sadie’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Sadie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Sadie’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
