About this Cat
DOB: 5/5/2024 They still call me Quill. Black as ink, but no longer brooding in the shadows—I’ve come out of my shell and have a lot to say. In fact, I’m now the first to greet you (loudly!) when you step into the Juvie Room. You’ll hear me before you see me, usually mid-monologue about how breakfast was late or how the crinkle ball rolled under the couch again. I may be one of the older cats in the room, but I hold my own among the chaos of youth. I’m something of a mentor around here—a literary soul in a room full of short stories. I still enjoy a good stretch in a sunbeam and the occasional existential nap, but these days I’m more social, more spirited, and far more likely to demand that elusive chin scratch rather than wait for it. My past? Abandoned like a rough draft no one wanted to finish. But I’ve revised that chapter. Now, I’m writing a story about second chances, warm laps, and someone who appreciates a cat with depth and opinions. So come sit with me. Let’s discuss vinyl records, the magic of moonlight, and whether the feather toy symbolizes hope—or just good cardio. Let’s write something beautiful together. – Quill Come meet me at the cage-free Adoption Center! All cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and tested for FIV/FeLV. **If interested in adopting me, please fill out an online adoption application at https://colonycats.org/adoption_app.html to expedite the process. Due to the large number of inquiries received, we are unable to respond to emails quickly.**

Adopt Quill and Receive Quill's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Quill's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Quill's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Quill, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Quill's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Quill was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Quill’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Quill’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Quill’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
