About this Cat
Walter is a feline superhero who's ready to save the day! This courageous cat has been through a lot in his young life, but he's not about to let that stop him from being a true hero. Walter may have been diagnosed with feline leukemia (FeLV), but he's not letting that hold him back. At first, he was scared and wouldn't allow pets from his foster family. But with time and patience, he's warmed up and now greets his favorite humans with open paws. Like any good superhero, Walter has a love for heights. He likes to be up high, surveying his surroundings and keeping an eye out for crime and danger. He would love nothing more than a house with a tall cat tree or safe, cozy elevated spaces where he can keep watch and protect his domain. So if you're looking for a guardian to join your family, look no further than Walter! He's a cat who's ready to save the day and be your loyal companion for life. If you would like to meet him we will coordinate with his current foster and find a time. DOB: 11/1/2020 One of the biggest misconceptions about feline leukemia, which suppresses a cat’s immune system, is that it is an automatic death sentence. There are many variables, however, that come into play that determine how FeLV will affect a particular cat. All cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and tested for FIV/FeLV. If interested in adopting me, please fill out an online adoption application at https://colonycats.org/adoption_app.html to expedite the process. Due to the large number of inquiries received, we are unable to respond to emails quickly.**

Adopt Walter and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Walter's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Walter's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Walter, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Walter's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Walter was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Walter’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Walter’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Walter’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
