About this Dog
Scrappy is a 10 year old yorkie, who weighs only 7 lbs. This little spunky guy is a joy to be around and is so excited to see you at the end of the day! Scrappy came to us after a long life of being used as a breeding stud and never receiving proper vet care throughout his life. He does not have any teeth, but he still eats dry food moistened with chicken broth. He also has a seizure about once every 2 months - his foster tracks them and for the past several months, he's gone about 77 days in between seizures. With that frequency, our vets do not think it's necessary for him to be on daily medication. He does however have a prescription for valium that can be given if a seizure lasts too long and he's not coming out of it quickly. While he is not potty trained, he is very used to wearing a belly band and it's pretty easy to maintain. We use the disposable kind inside of a thicker cotton version to keep it in place. When he goes outside for potty breaks, the disposable one gets removed / thrown away, and a new one is put on when he comes back inside. Scrappy is great other dogs and loves cats! He also lives with a young child right now and they are the best of buds. He's an easygoing pup, who just wants somewhere to relax while he enjoys whatever time he has left. We don't know if that'll be a year or several, but he's pretty spry considering his neurological issues! If you are interested in providing a forever home for Scrappy, please apply on our website, www.prodogsohio.org/adoptables. He's been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and is heartworm negative. His adoption fee is $100. He's being fostered in NW Columbus. Please note, we only schedule meet and greets with approved applicants, so you must be approved in order to meet him.

Adopt Scrappy and Receive Scrappy's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Scrappy's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Scrappy's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Scrappy, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Scrappy's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Scrappy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Scrappy’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Scrappy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Scrappy’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
