This charming little guy came to us after a friend of our director contact us about a group of cats abandoned on her property in Wilmington. We took in 12 cats, got them all vetted, and now they’re ready for loving homes—starting with Ellsworth! Ellsworth is an affectionate, social sweetheart who loves the company of other cats and is so happy to be safe and cozy indoors. He has an adorable little kink in his tail that just adds to his quirky charm! He has a slight heart murmur but is super easy to medicate and doesn’t let it slow him down. We’re treating it and will continue to monitor his progress. Born around late spring 2024, Ellsworth is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Ellsworth was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Ellsworth’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Ellsworth’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Ellsworth’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
