CRYSTAL is a gorgeous young leggy mixed breed girl looking for a home. Our best guess on breed is Pointer/beagle mix. She's about 1 year old and fully grown at 38 pounds. Crystal is a timid girl. We pulled from an overcrowded rural shelter where she was destined for euthanasia because she was absolutely terrified and shut down. We decided to take her on as a project and she's beginning to blossom with loving care from humans and the companionship of friendly well-balanced dogs. Crystal is housebroken and crate trained, good with other dogs and afraid of kitties. She needs a home with a patient adopter willing to take the time to earn her trust. Once she trusts you Crystal will give you a happy little smile. She also needs the companionship of a well balanced friendly dog and a physically fenced yard. If you'd like to meet Crystal, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Crystal at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Crystal's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Crystal was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Crystal’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Crystal’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Crystal’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
