About this Dog
MAYA is the perfect blend of sweet, silly and sassy. She's a 3 year old 17 pound mixed breed girl. Our best guess is a Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier-type mix. She's playful and affectionate. While Maya is a delightful loving dog, she has the Type A personality that some JRT types are known for. She's an obedient little girl but without good leadership she may attempt to stage a coup and take over the household. Terrier-experienced pet parents will understand. It's perfectly fine to give in to some of her terrier-ist demands -- frequent belly rubs and lots of attention and kisses. Maya is ideally suited to a home with an experienced pet parent who knows what to expect from the breed. She's not a good choice for a first-time pet owner. Maya is housebroken and crate trained. If you'd like to meet Maya, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.

Adopt Maya 2025 and Receive Maya 2025's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Maya 2025's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Maya 2025's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Maya 2025, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Maya 2025's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Maya 2025 was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Maya 2025’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Maya 2025’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Maya 2025’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
