My Sharona came to us with kittens as part of a transport. They were supposed to go to a different rescue, but when the kittens got sick, the rescue backed out.....and we stepped up! When Sharona got spayed, the vet noticed that her one front leg had some muscle atrophy. X-Rays revealed tiny bullets in her body! Can you imagine? She gets along fine - a slight limp, but poor girl has been through a lot! My Sharona is a member of the "no moms left behind" club. She has gotten more and more social and outgoing since she has been in rescue. She can be a little sassy sometimes with her tortie-tude! But she loves to have toys and food and a window to look out of. She may prefer to be an only cat, but perhaps would be ok with a cat friendly dog? She is fostered with other cats and does fine - just a little bossy - she is the girl in charge! Nothing bad....just some kitty sass! She is a funny, silly girl! Born likely fall of 2022, she is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and negative for fiv/felv. Adoption fee $60 Ma ma ma My Sharona!! For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and My Sharona was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, My Sharona’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the My Sharona’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, My Sharona’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
