NELLIE is a sweet beagle girl looking for a home. She's a an affectionate tricolor girl, about 7 years old. Nellie came to us after the death of her beloved dad. She's grieving his loss but ready to find her new home and love someone new. Nellie gentle and sweet and easy to love. She's dog friendly and would love to find a home with a doggie companion. Nellie is best suited to a home with a physically-fenced yard. She is currently overweight at 46 pounds but should be under 35 pounds so she's started her diet. If you'd like to meet Nellie, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Nellie at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Nellie 2025 was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Nellie 2025’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Nellie 2025’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Nellie 2025’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
