About this Dog
80 pound 5 year old put mix, Bruce. We are having behavioral issues relating to interacting with our children. He is very weary of our 9 year old son. Whenever our son enters the room he gets very tense, starts to grumble and does anything he can to avoid him. He has never bared his teeth at him or made any attempt to attack or bite him, but rather just want to avoid him completely. He seems fine with younger children. He lets our 3 year old lay on him and pull on his ears, face and tail with no reaction. He only has a problem with the 9 year old He is super affectionate with my wife and I and listens to commands from us very well. He does great on a leash during walks. Bruce gets along great with our 20 pound mini Aussidoodle as well as our 3 cats. He will chase them playfully around the house and has never shown any signs of aggression toward any of them. Bruce is up to date on all his shots, is microchipped, and neutered. While he has never made an attempt to attack our son, we feel it is in the best interest of our family, as well as his, to allow him to find another home where he is more comfortable and able to be loved the way he deserves.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Bruce was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Bruce’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Bruce’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Bruce’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
