About this Dog

Coco is a 4 year old lab-mix that we adopted from the Ross County Humane Society in Ohio (near Chillicothe, OH) We adopted her when she was 10 weeks old. Unfortunately due to our schedules, she is just simply not getting the attention she needs and deserves. She is a very active and playful dog, but can get spooked and nip. She is our only dog, and I truly believe she would be better of in an environment with other dogs. Currently she is about 60lbs, and is spayed and microchipped. While she does shed, its not seasonal. She knows a few basic commands such as sit, down and paw. She is crate trained, house trained, and very intelligent (can be stubborn too). While she does love attention, and loves to play, she can get a bit aggressive at times (likely to her, she's still playing). Around our house, while she does enjoy running around chasing squirrels in our fenced in backyard ... she easily loves being inside just as much. She loves her rawhide bones and playing fetch/catch. She really is a good dog, and I just wish we had more time in our schedule to attend to her attention needs. I can see it in her eyes when we don't interact or play with her ... she'll just lay there and stare at you. While she's had some interaction with other dogs, I wouldn't say a whole lot. But from what I've seen, she loves other dogs. Adults seem to have no issue at all with her, but I would caution against babies, toddlers and young children whom she doesn't know. If there are any other questions please let me know. Medical records are easily available too!

Adopt Coco and Receive Dogecoin

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Coco's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

How will Coco receive the Dogecoin?

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Coco, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Coco's Dogecoin here.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Coco was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Coco’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

What happens to unclaimed funds?

We want the Coco’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Coco’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
