Max is a 5-year-old purebred Australian Shepherd who’s smart, loyal, and full of energy. He’s the perfect match for someone with an active lifestyle who understands the needs of a working breed. Originally adopted from a farm, Max thrives when he has a job to do—whether it’s learning tricks, chasing a ball with impressive jump catches, or just staying close to his people. He’s playful, affectionate, loves belly rubs, and needs daily exercise and mental stimulation to be his best self. Max would excel in agility, scent work, or as a hiking or running buddy. He’s healthy, fully vaccinated, and house-trained. His ideal home includes: An active person or family (familiar with herding breeds is a plus) A lifestyle that includes regular physical and mental enrichment Someone home more often than not—he bonds deeply with his people Max’s current family loves him dearly but can no longer meet his needs due to changes in work and family life. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Max was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Max’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Max’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Max’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
