Mett Gabby. This little lady came to DASH pregnant and has since had 5 beautiful puppies who she raised wonderfully and now it is her turn to find her forever home. She is small at only 9 lbs., but she packs a lot of sass into that tiny body. She is a typical Chihuahua, who likes to be near her foster mom and gets along with the other dogs in her foster home, but also likes her own space and let's them know if she needs her alone time. She is a little cautious of new people, but given a few minutes, she warms right up. She would prefer a fenced in yard so she can go out to potty as she is still working on her leash manners, having never been on a leash prior to coming into the rescue. Like most Chihuahuas, she doesn't like going out in the rain or other bad weather and will use pee pads instead. She also ignores the resident cat in her foster home, but has not been kid tested. We think she would also do just fine as the only pet in the home as well and would make a senior a great companion.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Gabby was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Gabby’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Gabby’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Gabby’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
