_________ B I O ______________ Name: Emmett Otter Size: Small range: Up to 25 lbs Adoption Donation: $250 Adoption fees may be paid by cash or check. Other: Neutered Male, Vaccinations current, Microchip Emmett Otter is ready to frolic in the sun with you! Foster Home Feedback 7/28/25 Foster Home Feedback: It’s Christmas in July and we’d like to introduce you to Emmet Otter. Emmet is a 3 year old Shneagle and the perfect gentleman. Great with dogs of any sex, size or temperament, indifferent to cats, he fit into his foster home within minutes. After a few days it was like he was one of the family. Since Emmett's arrival, he has had plenty of adventures, including walks in the neighborhood, park trails, the downtown farmers market, and a handful of establishments. He did well in the car, with the crowds and wanted to play with other dogs that were around, if he even acknowledged them at all. Though he does get excited at times during walks, pulling and occasionally jumping up to grab his leash, he usually calms down after a minute or two. Emmett Otter did well in a kennel with his previous owner, but has enjoyed the freedoms of having a remote working foster and night time cuddles since joining his foster family. He keeps himself entertained, especially with the companionship of other dogs. Emmett Otter is potty trained and has proven himself repeatedly when he has been left to roam the home freely and alone, though he may bark a bit at first. It may not be ideal having shared walls in his new home because of this. Emmet does not like to be picked up or have his paws handled, most of the time. He is currently receiving antibiotics twice a day for tick borne illnesses, which can cause some soreness and stiffness. This could explain his reluctance to being handled this way, though it’s no more than a grumble. Whoever says Christmas only comes once a year doesn’t know about this precious little gift. ** Emmett Otter is Lyme and Anaplasmosis positive. These are tick-borne illnesses, and s/he is currently being treated with Doxycycline . $0.0 is Emmett Otter's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Emmett Otter, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Emmett Otter's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Emmett Otter was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Emmett Otter’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Emmett Otter’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Emmett Otter’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
