You will just have to take my word for it until you can meet him yourself. Charmander walks great on a leash, although he has been known to chew on it so he has a chain leash now. He calmly watches other dogs as they pass by, but if you follow them, he does pull. Charmander is unbothered by other leashed dogs barking at him and continues going on his way. Alert and attentive; he watches where he is going but remembers to check in with people. Charmander calmly waits if the walker is chatting with another person and lays sweetly in the car. This little guy is quite the gentle gem. He loves flowing water and I would imagine he would love to drink from a hose. Charmander is an inquisitive, charming, and tolerant pup, always eager to learn and ready to find his forever home. 5/11/25 Foster Home Feedback: Charmander is a very sweet and loving boy. Ho loves people. He likes other dogs but his energy can be a bit much for them . He loves to play and go on walks. Charmander is not a big fan of being alone in the yard and prefers access to his human at all times. He is still working on potty training but he has come a long way. Charmander is also still working on manners like not counter surfing and not jumping on people but he is making improvements.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Charmander was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Charmander’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Charmander’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Charmander’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
