_________ B I O ______________ Name: Heinz Size: ~ Medium, range: 26-60 lbs Adoption Donation: $250 (applicable sales tax included). Adoption fees may be paid by cash or check. Other: Neutered Male, Vaccinations current, Microchip, NO CATS Heinz will be the special sauce in your home! ** Heinz's ideal home would include a play buddy to accommodate his energy and help occupy him when everyone else is away Foster Home Feedback ** NO CATS 03/08/2024 Foster Feedback: Heinz has been with us for a few months now and he truly is a different dog than when he came to us. Here are some great things about Heinz: He doesn’t bark when dogs or people walk by the house. He walks wonderfully on a leash. He entertains himself well with bones and toys. Heinz has the most adorable way of “talking” when he wants something. He is incredibly smart and loves to learn. I really think he could be trained to do almost anything! Heinz plays well with other dogs and has come a long way with taking cues when other dogs are done playing. Please consider this sweet boy. He is ready for a family of his own! 01/07/24 Foster Feedback: Heinz continues to work hard on his training. He knows sit, shake, lay down, and is working on mat training. Heinz is incredibly smart and picks up on training quickly. He is energetic but listens very well. Heinz would thrive in a home with humans that will set boundaries for him. He loves praise and really wants to please his people. Heinz continues to love playing with our resident dog. He would love a dog sibling that likes to play! As the weather has gotten colder, we’ve been walking for shorter periods. He has done well with this and does best when I spend a few minutes each day working on training. The boy loves to work and learn! Heinz loves cuddles and does great with our kids. If you’re looking for a new pup for your family, Heinz would love to meet you! 11/17/23 Foster Feedback: Heinz has been with us for a week and has quickly adapted to life in a home. He is an energetic pup but with regular walks and some good enrichment (Heinz loves a yummy filled Kong!), he has made so much progress. He does well on walks and is so curious about every sight, sound, and smell. He loves exploring and would make a great adventure buddy! With more frequent exercise, I haven't seen any leash grabbing. He jumps very occasionally, but that is also a huge improvement. If you read his earlier feedback posts, you can see that Heinz has been working hard and it shows! He LOVES playing with our resident dog and would do very well with a playful dog sibling in his forever home. Heinz is young and very much still learning, but he is so eager to please. Heinz is an amazing pup and would love to find a forever family to help him continue to grow! 10/27/23 Volunteer Feedback: This boy wants to please people... And also get treats. He loves snuggles when play time is over, but ya gotta get that energy out first. Heinz is a very smart boy and learns very quickly what behaviors get him praise. He easily redirects when his energy gets the best of him; he needs a human to set ground rules and follow through, are you that human? 10/21/23 Volunteer Feedback: Hello from Heinz! Are you looking for your new active little buddy? Then this guy could be the perfect candidate for you. Heinz is a young adolescent boy who is soooo sharp and wants to work so badly. It is very likely there is some type of intelligent working breed in his mix and this guy certainly would benefit from an active lifestyle and a job! Sports? Yes, please. Hiking and adventure buddy? Absolutely! Patio dog? I can see big potential for him enjoying that kind of life. Active household with other doggy friends? He’d adore this! Heinz is wicked smart - though is doofy face may not show this, ha! He has a solid foundation in basic manners already and responded to clicker training almost instantly. He knows sit, down, touch, and is working on stay. I have no doubt that whatever you wanted to teach him, he would do it. He’s incredibly treat motivated, toy motivated, and engaged during training. If you are in the market for a sport dog prospect I could see this guy excelling in any range of this from agility to disc, dock diving, scent work, etc. He is a brilliant little pup and I always enjoy working with him. He loves other dogs and is very friendly and playful with them!! Heinz is still young and learning some social cues, so a playmate who can tolerate the go, go, go type of attitude would likely be the best for him! I’ve had him with males, females, different sizes and he’s done amazing with all of them. And he’s very people friendly, has never met a stranger! In the shelter environment, Heinz is struggling to get out all of the mental and physical energy he has to expend, so this can present initially in some less desirable behaviors like leash grabbing, mouthing, jumping, barking, etc. BUT once I get him out and get him some exercise and mental stimulation, he is a totally different dog. To combat the leash grabbing I have discovered he greatly enjoys taking a toy with him on a walk to hold in his mouth and we’ve also been working on redirecting him. His mouthy and jumpy behavior is so much more diminished once he has some mental stimulation, some play time, and a good chew so I think he just needs to get out of the shelter and in to home and these issues will be much less frequent. He’s been so much fun for me to work with during his shelter stay, but I hope it is soon coming to an end and I can see him go to wherever he’s meant to be!

Adopt Heinz and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Heinz's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Heinz's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Heinz, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Heinz's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Heinz was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Heinz’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Heinz’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
