About this Cat
Elijah (2-3 years old) Elijah is a large black beauty with the most silky and soft fur. And he won't lie to you: he wants to be an only cat with you as his biggest fan. The truth is that Elijah is rather afraid of other cats. A feisty kitten can easily back Elijah up against the wall and intimidate him. Elijah needs a hero who won't subject him to the stress of other cats, dogs, or children. Could you be his hero? He's friendly and has a self-assured demeanor (if no other animals are around), and he appeals earnestly to you to come and pet him very gently. If you are standing close to him and he is up on his cat tree, he will reach out a paw to tap you on your shoulder and turn around to him. While he is not a fan of being picked up, crowded, or restrained, he's affectionate and will let you pet him and offer him toys. He also enjoys being brushed. This elegant feline with the lush coat would do well in a quiet household with folks (or a single person) who can appreciate his reserved nature and desire for space. In return, he will greet you every time you come through the door, and he will jump up beside you if you are sitting on the couch. He will also give you gentle kisses. Could you offer Elijah a pleasant space in which to relax and enjoy life?

100% of Elijah's balance will be sent to whoever adopts Elijah.
Adopt Elijah and Receive Elijah's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Elijah's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Elijah's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Elijah, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Elijah's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Elijah was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Elijah’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Elijah’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Elijah’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
