About this Dog
RUGBY ~4 years old. Good with older, considerate kids and large female dogs. Not good with cats or small dogs. GSRA adopts to residents of VA, NC, and SC only. We at GSRA never shy away from dogs that appear to be special needs. Rugby was brought into rescue after being found by animal control emaciated with a severe rear leg break, sadly the vet determined the leg was not salvageable but true to the gsd spirit Rugby has not let it bother him one bit. Rugby loves running in the yard with his foster sister, he has a high ball and prey drive. He’s a great leash walker, car rider and all around calm dog when out and about. He’s the perfect dog to take to breweries, dog friendly restaurants etc. Rugby would also do well for someone wanting to train a dog to volunteer for therapy work. He’s very calm, friendly but not demanding of attention. He doesn’t jump up and isn’t mouthy. He has ZERO mobility issues as a tripod, easily goes up and down hard wood stairs, hops in the car, runs as fast as the other gsds he’s living with. His mobility is so good that people don’t even notice he’s missing a leg initially. Rugby is house trained, crate trained and a super chill dude in the house. Rugby would do best as an only dog or with a female dog. Rugby cannot live with cats. Rugby would be fine with older considerate children. He would also do well in an apartment. Come meet him soon, he loves to say hello.

Adopt Rugby and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Rugby's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Rugby's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Rugby, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Rugby's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Rugby was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Rugby’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
"The fun and friendly internet currency."
Dogecoin sets itself apart from other digital currencies with an amazing, vibrant community made up of friendly folks just like you. Dogecoin is a decentralized, peer-to-peer digital currency that enables you to easily send money online.

We want the Rugby’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Rugby’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
