We'd like to introduce you to Smudge, our oh-so-cute 1.7-year-old bully mix! Found wandering near a cemetery by the airport, Smudge was discovered lounging on the side of a dirt road, a little apprehensive about the noise from the planes ?? above. Fortunately, a kind officer came to his rescue, patiently coaxing him with tasty treats and gentle words until he trusted her enough to put a leash on him and bring him to safety.Since arriving at the shelter, Smudge has filled our hearts with gratitude ?? in return for all the love and care he has received. While he may be a bit nervous in new situations, especially when meeting other dogs, his trust can be earned quickly, revealing his sweet personality. Smudge takes treats so gently, showcasing his kind nature. Now that he's settled in and made plenty of friends, we're starting to see Smudge's playful and silly side, complete with lots of tail wags and a wiggly butt!If you're looking for a furry companion who will offer you unconditional love, come meet Smudge at the shelter and see just how wonderful he is! For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and SMUDGE was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, SMUDGE’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the SMUDGE’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, SMUDGE’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
