About this Dog
Peaches is a 2 year old, 21 pound Carolina Dog and Chihuahua mix. We rescued this gal last minute from the shelter where she was suffering kennel stress. This energetic little gal can be nervous around strangers at first, so we suggest a calm but active adult home. Teens are ok, but no smaller children as she is exuberant. Peaches is housetrained. She is curious, a little nervous around other dogs and would best be suited to play with less dominate dogs. Peaches needs play time and exercise. She loves stuffed animals and can play with them for hours! She would benefit from having a fenced in yard. Peaches enjoys active walks and is working on leash training. She is a great home office companion too! Her foster writes, "After getting settled, she will play with dog friends, loves affection and to give kisses." This dog is available and everything we know about this dog is included in the dog’s description. We are only able to respond to questions once a completed application is received https://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. We do not respond to questions about our dogs sent through email or social media. Excellent vet references and a virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We transport by land or air whenever possible. Unless there is definitive documentation our breed and age assessments are based on visual appearances.

100% of Peaches's balance will be sent to whoever adopts Peaches.
Adopt Peaches and Receive Peaches's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Peaches's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Peaches's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Peaches, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Peaches's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Peaches was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Peaches’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Peaches’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Peaches’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
