About this Cat
Wanda is a very playful, cute, sleek little all black kitten with a few stray white hairs popping out here and there, born on April 9, 2025. When she first came to us she was a little shy, and preferred to hide. She was what I’d call cautious, never skittish or fearful. She sought out companionship with the other kittens to cuddle up and sleep but would hide when the other kittens began to play and wrestle with each other. Well, all that changed quickly, literally in a couple of days. She no longer hides and she actively seeks out our affection. Now, when the other kittens play, she bravely jumps right in the middle of it or initiates it herself! She’ll make you laugh with how silly she is. When she shares her food with her fellow kittens, she growls! She doesn’t do anything else and they all just keep on eating. It’s so funny. She enjoys being handled, cuddled and brushed. I believe she’d probably prefer to be adopted with another kitten, or to have an another cat in the home to interact with. But as stated she adapts very quickly and would do fine as an only cat with her loving pet parent(s). Indoor cat only! The adoption fee is $150. This covers the cost of spay/neuter, PVR, Rabies, flea, tick, ear mite and worm treatment. To adopt, you need to first fill out an application. Go to: https://rutherfordcountyhumanesociety.org/cat-adoption-application/ We are located in Western North Carolina. Optional transport is weekly. After your application is approved, we will contact you regarding cost and delivery if you so desire.

Adopt Wanda and Receive Wanda's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Wanda's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Wanda's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Wanda, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Wanda's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Wanda was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Wanda’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Wanda’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Wanda’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
